Is the Spiderbox a clone of the MVision HD300?

Yes you can load them on by all means, you will just feck the box thats all.
Do you know anyone whos tried it?
the tm1500 etc and the clarke tech etc are the same basically but you cant flash each others sw on them.
They will have different bootloaders etc to start with and alsorts of different things going on.
Will be fried or at least a jtag needed.

After reading this post and a follow up to one of my previous posts I decided to do a little more digging. I've just come off the phone to a colleague of mine who sells both the Spiderbox and the M Vision HD300, and he has confirmed that both boxes display the same bug with a Technomate/Motek motor using USALS, there is also a problem with the channel editor and favourites selection with both boxes, you can use the same remote on either receiver and you can use the M Vision channel editor on the Spiderbox. Luckily I can get my hands on an M Vision HD300 tomorrow and I will load the Spiderbox firmware onto the M Vision and see what happens. According to Darkman it will destroy the receiver but I seriously doubt that. I will post my findings tomorrow night and we will see if the M Vision and the Spiderbox are close relatives.

Is TM motor do not work is not a spiderbox fault.....even Spiderbox is not much familiar with TM ..lol

Spiderbox is totally difent from MV..Spiderbox has born many months before then MV...and we do not like do advertise and nominate any other OEM brands in the market ...but if you see others like to nominate us..
That mean somethink or NO!?
They are many threads atack againt spider ,but i garanty you this will not be the last one but even no relavant for me and psiderbox it self and ever for Members who are happy with it.

I have a TM 2600 motor and USALS appears to be working fine on the Spiderbox.

the op was a genuine question, much like the ctech/tm questions ir itgate/tm questions
there are a few people ive heard of with tm or motek motors who cannot use usals with the spiderbox for one reason or another

Weird, my TM2600 motor seems to work fine with the spiderbox in all modes. I usually do everything manually but I've enabled USALS on the Spiderbox just to see it working and it's working great.
1 thing I will say though, when manual tuning and using the 'Step' function, it seems to bite off bigger steps than the Dreamboxes, I find the Dreamboxes more accurate when setting up a dish as they move in smaller steps.
One other thing worth mentioning, the SNR percentage is always approx 20% lower than what I get on a Dreambox, I think this is just a flaw in the software though as the actuall signal itself is every bit as good as the Dreambox.

USALS worked fine for me on my TM motor but when I used it on another TM the USALS just didnt play ball. WOuld find it then I would store sat then scan. But as soon as I scanned it lost the signal. So I had to then revert back to motor.

The real problem is about Moteck _ TM has try to change 2-3 times their motors ....to Copy Superior Darkmotor metal gear...In fist chnage Tm Plastik TM 2100 -TM 2200 30% faster ..lol
second change TM 2300 with Neilon and some sort of metal...their change metal..and alst one TM 2600.in all those changes they have left the bugs from one to others ...Maybe some of Motors do not working OK ,I do not have experince with latest Moteck/TM motors ...i do not like them for only one reason has been more then 2 YEARS looking to trying COPY us....But untill naw Spiderbox from more then 4000 STB has no problem with any one ...The s/w is for USULAS is UNIC...SPIDERBOX USUALS works OK...That will be propblem not to all maybe some of Motors s/w of Moteck-TM....I can not fix what is wrong some where else....But do not forget when some one like copy somethink not allways is GOOD like ORIGINAL...lol

I have this problem with my Motek motor.
If I use diseqc it is perfect, when using usals it moves in steps ie stopping basically at each loaded sat.
I use on TM600 works ok on usals/diseqc.
Took to mates house and works on his motor ok on usals and diseqc.
Theres something between the Motek and Spiderbox that is not compatible as there is enough power there.

well didnt dark motor copy the Powertech DG-280
stop making out that u invented everything and others try to copy you
if you made the first satellite reciever and the first dish and the first motor then yes they are all copying
but as you didnt all you are doing is improving it and other ppl are doing the same improving it

I can now confirm that the Spiderbox uses the same hardware as the M-Vision HD300. I have successfully loaded the Spiderbox firmware onto an M-Vision HD 300 Combo Net by serial and it worked. I've also added piccy's of the M-Vision both internal and external so existing Spiderbox owners can compare and contrast. If anyone is willing to take the lid of their own Spiderbox and take some pics and upload them I would appreciate it.
