Hi everone.

EPG is improved. It's not perfect but better than it was.

Pausing/rewinding live TV still seems to be broken. It seems to playback to the point at which you originally paused ( or rewound from ) the program you were watching and then stops.

Will test the new padding option next time I record something.

Hopefully it will get sorted in the end.

could you elaborate more why the epg is not perfect so this can be improved,Im in an area where the epg was terrible but it is now working on all channels and on some 6 days in advance

I dont use the pause/rewind tv so cant comment

Hi,

I'm in a TW area. I used to have a Dbox so was used to the EPG on that which was fairly solid.

When I said not perfect I meant that there still seemed to be random gaps here and there. It is much improved because it did used to be rubbish with barely more than now and next on just some channels.

I do get some data a few days ahead for some channels. Again there appear to be gaps ( missing data ).

I don't know if it's better to leave it on a certain channel for the EPG to populate or if it's better to leave it in standby. I'll have a further play when I get a chance.

Powerscan in standby is still to be added ( I think ).

The live rewind/pausing live TV thing is somewhat annoying as this is one of the main functions of a PVR ( for me ). As I said in a previous post "Chasing playback" of something you have started to record and want to start watching should be possible ( I think every other PVR can manage this ).

Can confirm the same im in ex tw as well & there are still gaps missing in the epg like said above tho its much better than it was! ;) would still like to see when pressing ok to see channel list it would be nice to see epg info at bottom instead of all that technical junk! ;)
 
Im also ex TW I have from time to time slight gaps in epg on ITV and Sky One
then sometimes the EPG is there in full but 95% of the time its fine
also take a while to fully kick in :)
 
After a couple of months using this firmware I find that the EPG is near perfect my only complaint is Some channals randomly goto Code updating only happens on some channels most channals are fine. The other complaint is the subtitles dont fully work. Other than that its fine.
 
Iv noticed if you keep the box on one channel, the epg doesnt update.
 
Can anyone help me with this problem.
Until yesterday I was receiving all of the Virgin channels on my DW800 machine.
Today I am unable to get some of these channels such as Hallmark, ESPN, Living +2 etc. The machine displays a message that says "Scrambled Program"
I have reinstalled the channels but the same problem exists.
I wonder if anyone is experiencing the same problems and I wonder if anyone has a solution.

I would do a factory reset of the box first and then a rescan , the CC's are moving a lot of channels around at the mo so a rescan 'should' sort it.

Failing that flash the box again and start over
