Got my yellow brick today! Came with a little surprise! A small pack of yummy haribos lol! Worked a treat but im just going to get a proper coax cable now as im using a coaxial cable I made myself but dont know if that makes a difference or not.

Got my yellow brick today, I have 3 dreamboxes and the internet running through it all my problems have gone, its a very good job
Will you let us know what happens when you receive that one Clive. I had seen boosters from that company before, but wasn't willing to take the risk because of their private feedback.

Wow - Amazing - Unbelievable!
Plugged the unit in set the slope right down and the gain right up did a scan and my parents now get all the channels they were missing in the past.
Problem was quite severe for them as they got 0 movie channels and 0 sports channels! I reckon they only got about 50 - 60% of all availble channels. Pointless having a DB in my opinion!
However the Yellow Brick has sorted it all out!
Noticed the channels change faster too!
Had tried the usual Argos boosters without any joy in the past.

I bought a Dbox for a friend in Derry it arrived the other day, I went down and installed it and done a channel scan no channels at at where picked up although in my house in Belfast I am able to get every single channel. Do you think if I bought one of these yellow boosters it would solve the problem in my friends house in Derry?

been having problems for well over a year now not getting movie channels on dream box tried alsorts including slx boosters so i bought a digibox yippee films back but picture quality was quite poor compared to dream box been reading updates in this thread since it was started decided to buy a yellow brick yippee all channels back on dream box i am well impressed with it thanks for all the input guys n gals i am using 1.6.1 had to change tuner from alt to old to make it work. once again thanks

Fantastic. A cracking piece of kit.
I had high hopes when i read through this thread and this little beauty delivers.
It replaced 2 slx boosters in the house and the SNR is a steady 95 and BER 0
.
Only problem i had was my modem which had a SNR of 56db lol, but a attenuator soon sorted that.
Verdict: BUY NOW

Yellow booster is in. Scan in progress... fingers crossed.
Edit: That's an improvement. Seem to have everything except the movie channels now. Need to check if I'm still meant to be able to get them - it's been a while since I've tinkered.

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can continue to use this booster on my incoming cable feed, but somehow reduce the power my cable modem has to pump out to get through the noise?
My upstream power rises to 59db when this booster is inline - and that's way too high....
Recabling or further splitting is sadly not an option....

You need an attenuator. I don't know much about them, only that I found one on the end of a cable when i moved into my house. Only cost a couple of quid, read up.

My starview is only getting 76% signal level on most channels, it was alright until about a week ago, i bought one of the yellow brick boosters and its done nothing at all except when i turn up the G.C it cuts the signal level to 0%.
I'v connected the booster at the main feed, splitters and directly to the starview and it all has the same affect.
Anyone got an ideas at all.
Its 3am i'v been trying for about 4 days and i'm really pissed off

Perhaps your signal is too strong?
Have you tried attenuation?
