SOLO 2 UPDATE (Ver:3)! SAVE UR BOX FROM ATTACK

My question is:Could i have saved my box by pushing the off button on the back on time,or am i talking rubbish and when it starts then it doesnt matter hoe quick u are youre box is bricked..[/QUOTE]

When process begins and you turn off power it is like pausing..turn on power it will carry on where it left off...

Ok ajt thank but i put a safe image and it works perfect...what do you think?maybe that image is not loaded with TB?

If the bricking process has started then just the fact that it started would have been enough to brick the box as far as I'm aware.

Not too sure it would carry on after a power down, as the box on power up would just attempt and go through the normal boot cycle but it may have another attempt at brickiing the box once the driver has loaded and the right conditions have been met.

No i do not think it is safe sunray vu+solo2 box uses a additional usb with stuff on to defeat timebomb allowing it to use normal images.

The main feature of Sunray Vu+ Solo2 Receiver is the box come with USB-V2.0 Encryption System, it's let the Sunray Vu+ Solo2 support Original BlackHole2.0.9.1 IMG, also other newest Vu+ Solo2 software. But the box must matching with USB-V2.0 chip to use.

Ok i installed it back again, now i have the Sunray image and i am going to plug the sat cable in...but the usb files are different look at this, above one is the sunray files and the other one the original PLI files..
You see that there are 4 BIN files on the Sunray one..sunrayfile.jpg

you need sunray box for sunray image or box will brick...I think as it uses a special encryption on the images

E2 here is a DCC picture of the drivers and now u can see the BCM driver has changed wit data, its now 01.01.2014......Ok but how can Youtube.tv working,i thought they needed the latest drivers, and i downloaded the HBBTV plugin via the plugins of BH....E2 did HBBTV worked on the sunrayedit2.jpgLonrisun BH 2.10?

I know, but if you have a older Pli image you need the latest drivers, also for VIX and BH i think!

No,the new HBBTV plugin asks for the new drivers ;-( ....U got a PM mate

Ok...did the test and works on my Lonrisun Solo2 mini Clone

It did sync and nothing happend...its working!

I think the images are the same like oure boxes but only difference the sunray boxes have a backdoor/service port to safe the box when u update with TB driver...Images are the same!

Box is back up and running (Thanks alot Teaf) - Just installed V3. (wasn't working at first, i just swapped the RS232 cable around and worked first time).

At a guess I think the brick process would be something along lines of:-

1. Check date
2. If after such-a-date then erase flash and write protect flash.

An actual power down would just restart the process from beginning normally, rather than pause where it was upto.

Isn't that what I said?

As far as I've read about the time bomb, it interrogated the FPGA to determine that that the box was a clone, then checked the date the started to erase 64 pages of the flash, each page is 2048 bytes in size.

If the box were restarted mid way through this process and it had managed to even erase a single page the box would be bricked as effectively part of the bootloader would have been wiped and the box would just fail to boot. If you restarted the box at the interrogation and date validation stage, the box would boot as normal and the entire time bomb cycle would probably start again.

I'm not aware that the flash was ever made read-only, I think this was spread as people had logs where there were write errors being reported but these in my opinion were most probably a result of part of the main OS partition on the flash also being wiped. Now initially I did think why did they wipe beyond the bootloader and the answer is because they wanted the box to crash therefore making it impossible to recover the box. If they had just wiped the bootloader then powered on boxes would still have kept on working until restarted but with a working box it might have been possible to recover the box.

does the v3 update work on the normal vu solo made by Lorisun ?

Thanks

Lombard... Mines lonrisun and I've managed to install v3.
