Anyone got the Chinese VU+ Solo2

This box is fantastic by the way. Picture quality is fantastic. Beats the duo hands down. Speed is brilliant.

just maybe the newer firmware is locking out the older chipset...

So come a new firmware update this chipset will be blacklisted too lol.

Any way what is needed is to jtag the box, using a cypress board or similar and dump it.
and compare the 2..
and see if the older one will take the newer file.

A matter of seeing if the suppliers will provide files...

99% only the chipset/ bios code has been changed..

Today i got my 2 Solo2 by DHL,i orderd it past week and today it was delivered,i opend the box,looks same as my Solo2 V1 and by switching on i see BlackHole 2.0.8....I think its the same like all the other guys i wil install Genuine Vti 6.0.5 or BH2.0.9 and report back..

I just got mine I ordered it on Thursday and it was delivered this morning I have flashed it with original vix 3.0 kernel 3.3.8 the drivers are dated 2013-12-12 last update 2013-12-21

updated drivers to 2013-12-24 no problems

Ive installed VTI6.0.5 and NO HW ERROR Flash was flawless..Ive got HBBTV,YOUTUBE TV and latest drivers (30/12/13)....Is definitly not like my Solo2 Clone V1!!!There is or are somethings different but the one million dollar question is what...Yesterdag AJT noticed the change of a mainboard...Others think of patching and squeezed drivers...I cant tell mates...But this is not like oure first generation Clones..and thats a fact!!

No @friendzi is not entheusiasm more like thinking loud and try to understand...Because we,the 1 generation Solo2 clone users,may have a slight problem,if there aint coming a patch or a simple hardware solluction,we might be stuck on old firmwares and drivers,firmwares are always squeezable but drivers not...and off course the other thing,how long is this V2 clone going to work with the latest images and drivers?Till next update?

But you do seem really enthusiastic. It's a good thing though. To be honest I'm not too fussed about future updates. It works on vix 3.0 I'll leave it on that

Hahahah Friendzi,the main thing of this unit to watch satelite right?And with that part this motherf...er kicks ..ss,....You remember the time we had the dreamboxes at home,and al the time the green screen problem,not enough memory,the starting time and all the other problems i forget..

But this little fella is unbelievable,the speed and the stability is realy realy unbelievable,like i told you i have the V1 and that guys still surprises me everyday ;-) If i am going to stuck on driver 2013 well i dont give a heck about that,the main thing is like said watch tv but the screen is so much better and smoother then the DMM and the Xtrends ive got till today...

ure right maybe i am a itsi pitsie enthuastic ;-)

i think what happened with the first batch of solo2`s
was they fooked up flashing the chipset with code that can be reversed by driver
the second batch of clones chipset has been updated to replicate original solo2
so i cant see how vu can do anything about it now
if they did it will stop genuine vu solo`s working
apart from the worst remote ever made
i think the chinks have cracked it

Ok @davvvo i think ure right... i have seen almost nothing strange and differneces between de mainboards of Solo2 clone v1 and v2....It must something in the bios or in the nand i think...But whatever it is,they have found a leak and,if VU will stop v2,then you can aspect a v3 in a verry verry verry short time,these guys work fast

Doestnt matter if they staying with old drivers as long as they buy the new V2 too and what happens if VTI 6.6 comes ?Noboda now
No problems for China Sellers by the V3 ...we make good Price!

I have payed for my v1 220€ +30€ for a genuie remote =250€
Now I have bought a Genuie Solo2 in Switzerland Price = 250€ 36Month Warranty

Tell me why we should bye a Clone if it is nearly no Price Difference between Clone an Original

Dreambox was 390€ and Clone 180€ that is a difference what make a Clone interessent
But Solo 2 Clone is much to expensiv now

U r right but the countries where are no solo or dmm original products available. there is only one option to buy chinese clone . if we buy from europe it will be costl more then the original price. and will definatly not affordable for us .this thing was in the mind of chinese sellers they spread thier products every where in our area even in middle east its hard to find original also ... So there was only 1 choice left to buy this one .

@bak07 You paid around $301 for your clone v2, where the hell did you get it from?

I paid $255 for mine plus I then got lumbered with an additional $12 customs charges making a total of $267 ish
