great work guys, havnt tested yet but i was wondering what happens with the regional channels once there is a new update, does this overwrite them then i would have to manually change them in dbedit anyway!
yeah i get what your saying digi, i was more thinking this could be good for a few of the people iv set boxes up for, as when the channel frequencies change they get on my case to go and update there bouquets for them, so this would be perfect for that, whereas i use rats bouquets on all my boxes but i edit it to suit my needs with channels i dont watch out of it and also add a couple like setanta into the sports section. will give it a go on 1 of my boxes anyway to test it!this will install the listings that Rat has setup m8, so if you want regional channels after updating, you would need to change to suit
but
ive found that its only really the regional news that different (from working all over england the last few months) whereas in wales, scotland and ireland, theres entirely different channels (Rte, S4C, STV, etc) instead of just regional variations
as when the channel frequencies change they get on my case to go and update there bouquets for them, so this would be perfect for that,
this is for enigma 2 only boxes mate, 500s is enigma 1!This work for dm-500s mate
OK guys...without sounding like a complete noob (which I'm not) I've owned a dreambox for years now but somehow always managed without having to use telnet so have no experience with it..In a nutshell how can I install rats installer in the easiest fashion possible...I have DCC and know that the telnet function is available on this but is there a way to install other than this..and more importantly a step by step how to...much appreciated
cheers.
Jim
