hey all
i'm looking for the drivers for teh Lite-on NR138 motherboard? i have googled it countless times but still nothing

Run Belarc Advisor and it will give you the generic name of your motherboard which will help with locating drivers.

Is it a laptop or PC mate an whats the model number, might be easier that way. Also, anything specific on the motherbard? onboard gfx? sound?

From what I can tell the NR138 is based on the Intel 845GV chipset. You can get the drivers for that from
Intel® 845 Chipset Family - Chipset information and downloads
These should get you at least part way there. The rest we can deal with once you get that far.
I had to do a similar thing for an obscure HP heap of horsesh*t last week and was not prepared to pay driverguide for the privalege. Having identified the chipset, the rest was a piece of cake and the system now works fine
