Dbox fix

Cant FTp it, dont have the cables or the know how !

Does anyone else know how to fix without FTP ??

Can someone tell me what cable i need to get and where from if can't be done by remote?

Yes - as it says on the link at the beginning of the thread

"FTP the nagrarom7 file to your /var/scce or /var/keys folder, where ever it is on your box.
Delete rom10 and rom11 files, leaves you with rom7 files
Restart emu or reboot box and your sorted"

You don't have to delete rom 10 and rom 11 files - you can disabled them through the menus.
replace rom7 file as said, make sure its enabled and reboot box - may take a few mins to update/clear chans.

Sorry to be a pest but i was wondering how do i ftp the file, it wont let me get in to the box, i have smart ftp and i'v entered the ip address and it says
client closed the connection, connection failed, please try again, so i dont know what i'm doing wrong, as this is a first time at doing this.

Make sure dbox is powered on - leave it on fta channel
then follow instructions provided above

I would've released it myself probably today or tomorrow but obviously some people can't wait.

Whilst I understand, it's not clear cut! There are a number of *.bin fiiles referencing rom10 or rom11 throughout the directory structure so is it only the rom10/rom11.bin files in the Var/keys folder to get rid of?

Thats hugely disappointing to hear I had thought that this time the fix had been released rather than ripped off.
