Alright guys,

Just started a new job at the same place my fathers works in crawley called Network Flow.

Pretty hardcore stuff! Anyone worked with Cisco?

it only daunting as you just started as you do it day in day out and gert the certs then you do it no bother.

just done ma CCNAS, hoping to start CCNP or CCSP before the year is out but still to decide what route to take.

Yea i got alot to learn! there LOADS of commands i need to try remember! i got a test router to practice on getting the hang of it.

Im doing a primary router running o2 internet and a secondary router running something called ENTA then connecting them both together and then to a Radius router then to a core all seems like rubbish to me at the moment but im sure ill catch on haha.

Kruger where did you do your ccna? I have been looking locally as I am totally feckin bored of an evening and need some thing to do :)

did it at a cisco academy in Glasgow, however some of the local uni's colleges etc will offer it.

i got an email not long ago from Caledonian uni asking if i wanted to go to the ccna instructor coarse. So i guess when your certified academies can get access to your email as i never done it at the uni.

on the cisco site you should be able to search for an academy near you.

i would try and go look at the setup first to make sure there is enough hardware there for you to play with. don't wanna be waiting to jump onto one setup for an entire class.

it quite long and intensive, 2 days per week and it was about 6 months

cost was about £1200 cant mind exactly it was a couple of years ago now. included one voucher for exam but if u fail the cert i think it £123 for a re sit.

its broke up into 4 sections and each section has mutiple chapters each with its own wee test. This is based on the content they provide like qustions about their material in that chapter. more or less each chapter will have eaither a Lab or packet tracer activity or both.

at end of each chapter ther is a test on that chapter and a practical test.

then after all that you will need to study for the cert exam.
