opened up notepad++ wow a lot there are these examples only or do i put details of my line in there somewhere.

Just add your line to it top or bottom and leave the rest as it is.

Then FTP in and yes edit the file in Notepad ++ only.

what program do you use tried telenet and filezilla one needs log in detail and password the other will not connect to server thanks again

You put the config in etc folder just etc

not etc/CCcam

Tell you what mate if it is clearing the channel just disable the softcam check and see how you go.

To do this

Blue button-Softcam Manager-Press Menu button-Enable Frozen Check-No

Save and reboot

Was having the same problem with a ET8500 have tried Ferrets fix and will see how it goes.
