Yakumo delta 300 gps

Hi i have a 'yakumo delta 300 gps' pda gps unit which is ment to be the same as a mio 168 but i am having problems that the mio doesn't seem to have.
tomtom 3 works perfect but the maps are out of date
tomtom 5 takes about 10 mins to find a gps signal and drops out now and then.
tomtom 6 just freezes all the time.
the above is with a clean install, nothing else but tomtom on the pda.

Has anyone else got the yakumo and has the same problems?
Can i get updates maps for tomtom 3?
Is it possible to flash my unit so it thinks its a mio 168?
