xtraview hack

Thought this was worth mentioning here as it doesnt seem that widely known yet.

If you have a Nokia freeview receiver, model 221t or 121t, or you have a PCI card (DVB-T) for your computer, then you can watch the channels that are available on Xtraview by manually changing your settings, as below-

PMT PID 293 (0x0125)
PCR PID 2304 (0x0900)

MPEG2 Video Elementary Stream PID 5989 (0x1765)
MPEG2 Audio Elementary Stream PID 7560 (0x1d88)

I have a Haupphauge WinTV NOVA USB. In the main application folder, in my case: C:\Program Files\Hauppauge\WinTV NOVA USB, there's a plain text channel config file, DigitalTV-t.lst

Just load this into Notepad, and insert the hacked values into the correct line/column. The columns are labelled.

Make sure you take a backup copy of the file first though.

There is now a key generator that will allow most other box's to get xtraview. I believe its on ********** if someone wants to get it & upload it here. I'm not a member there. There are other places i can get it from so if its not here later today i'll get it for u, but in a rush now.

I have a old pcmcia ondigital cam out of my sony tv, will the hack work in this.
tryed the card in my compaq laptop using xp but the card won't install.
shows up as pcmcia mtd-0002 device no drivers found.

where do i get the pin order from.
my viewer id starts with 24*****
my free view box is a Daewoo DS608P.

you need the appropriate numbers to put in, then it'll work (I believe). There is something floating around to extract them from a dump of the mheg stream from xtraview. Since I don't have a PCI freeview receiver, I'm relying on someone who does have one posting the info somewhere.
