Will there ever be a Dreambox capable of HD?

As subject, will we ever be able to view HD channels with a Dreambox (or other non subscription based decoder)?

No Dreambox it would seem, but there will undoubtedly be other HD capable decoders. You could always just build a HTPC, they're perfectly capable of decoding and watching what little HD content is available on cable.

Supposedly the new DM 8000 will be able to do HD, both mpeg 2 and H264. I don't think there's a release date for it yet. It's been mentioned on DW a few times, as well as other forums.

It was officially cancelled a few months ago, after having been delayed for almost a year and a half.
