need there friends code, normally some games have there own codes which you need to add them to your lust in that game

if its just to play random people you will need a wireless internet connection, then goto settings on the wii and enter ur ssid and password, then go on whichever game you have and choose multiplayer or whatever, but if its a friend you want to play do as madnlooney said!

just whilst we're on this subject. Thought id ask as want to know.

Can you play games online with friends and other people if you have softmodded? unlike XBOX360.

Is there a risk of your WII being bricked? do you need anything installed to protect you?

No Nintendo are not like Microsoft, you can play online no problems but just turn off auto update or if it asks you to update just say no. Just check your 24 connect is off in the wii setting.
