The network bit thing wont work on mine.

Had this problem a couple of times now, resoldering of the encapsulated transformer cured the fault.
It looks like a chip and sits just in front of the blue lan socket.

Might be worth a try. Try flexing the dreambox and see if the amber leds' light up on the left hand side of the mainboard, the ethernet cable needs to be connected when performing this test.

ive read that a new psu could also fix this issue too (just the power brick), should be able to pick one up cheap on the bay
