even if the file "808.bin" was not loaded correctly?

when my solo2 was on V2 I tried to put blackhole 2.3.0 (this blackhole are for V4) and nothing happened except that there was the same problem with tuners.

So when you had v2 with BH 2.0.9 working fine, you tried BH 2.3.0 and did that flash fine and seem to work except for "tuner" issues?

yes, with v4 images on v2 I have also tuner issues

Hi Guys

I'm Using a lonrisun SOLO 2 Clone, with BH 2.1.1

I seem to have lost some channels, sly sports 1234, tried several bouquets
can't get them back,

plugged in my old dreambox and they work fine, so can only assume its a BH image,

I was told to use images from here www.vu-hd.com but they dont seem upto date,

The Box is working fully apart from missing channels,

Got my null modem cable ready, have the update tools ready to go just dont
want a bricked or unusable box.

How many people have had 100% success with VU-HD tools from sept 2014?

There have been some slight frequency changes I believe, moreso if you live in RoI.

Have you tried rescanning or running an update on your Bouquet maker.

not tried scanning, as in past ending of with doubles and greyed out channels, to tend only to install latest Bouquet,

Tried both the latest Catseye motor, and Vhannible Motor,

Sold my original solo to a mate, thats also running BH thats got an original image on, and that too has lost sly sports 1234, we are both
in same area, but, my dreambox has not lost sly 1234.

dreambox running openatv is it? If so, then that may have done a bouquet scan and refound the changed frequencies.

You need to run a network scan and then find the new channel in the main sat list on the box for 28 east not from the bouquet as user channels dont get updated on a scan.

I feel such an idiot for past couple years, i've never done a channel scan only loaded bouquets, never
had any missed channels but this sorted issue,

update!

I tried with update tools flash again to V2, V3 and V4 and update not working anymore
So I put in flash blackhole 2.3.0 from vu-hd for solo2 SE
after 5 min enigma gave me green screen and after reboot I had bricked box
only touch light start, nothing on vfd

With jtag I returned box back to life
after two replacement flash chip and one jtag my solo2 is real war veteran roud:
Now I have the following problem
Flashing with usb not working
I tried new usb stick with fat 32 but it did not work
so I put orginal image from vuplus site on usb stick and then it was all right
after finished flashing with orginal image I switched off reciver (without booting) and put on usb stick clone save blackhole image (my backup 2.0.9)
now the image smoothly flashed into flash

I took out rs232 board and put back
the result is update to V2, V3 and V4 now works smoothly


seems to be no more problems with tuner
to be continued

bad rs232 board with bad upgrade to V4 - cause tuner issue
if you have V2 box and put V3 or V4 image in flash You will also have only tuner issue
good V4 upgrade and lastest image for clone - no more tuner problem

Before changing the max232 when I tried to reinstall the v4 I linked to computers was heading update.exe and nothing happened, the decoder was in booting.


Now with the new max232 I turn the decoder start the reinstallation of v4 and this happens:

the decoder does not receive the update starts booting image.

I tried to use also 2 serial cables original vu, but no dice.
I connected putty in serial and gives me strange symbols.
It's normal?
Any solutions ?

That is the reason for tuner problem, bad V4 update

Tray unscrew this two screws and then tray press (with fingers ) rs232 board to the mainboard
you can also try to press rs232 board to the left or right when you are doing upgrade to v4
My problem was bad contacts rs232 board - mainboard
Use only orginal solo2 lonrisun rs232 cable

For those that still have problems with tuner issues after flashing with v4 flash update, could you try Vix Hades 012 (for Lonrison v4 flashed boxes) and let me know whether this works.
