Who knows !
VM's latest press release indicates that they plan to reduce the price of the 50Meg broadband package to £28 (if taken with phone line - present cost £35) or £35 (stand-alone - present cost £50) starting from 1st Sept. This is for both new and EXISTING customers.

Expecting the possibility of 24/7 downloading at 50Meg is pushing it a bit. Thats a potential of downloading over 500Gig per day which is just plain silly for any domestic connection.

As long as any limits are kept reasonable then stm shouldn't really be a problem to anybody. Agreed the present S & M package limits are pretty diabolical but if you need to download a lot then you should be on the L or, more likely the XL package where the limits are actually more realistic.

tbh, i'm a fairly heavy user but, apart from once when doing a large upload, I rarely even approach the XL limits. Anyone thats hitting the limits on a regular basis obviously has a serious hoarding problem !
