Two new PS3 bundles unveiled

Sony has announced plans to launch two new PlayStation 3 bundles in the UK, with the first to go on sale next month.

The Japanese electronics giant will release an 80GB PS3, complete with two DualShock 3 pads and a copy of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue on September 10.

The second bundle, scheduled for release on October 29, will also include an 80GB PlayStation 3, one DualShock 3 pad and an as-yet-unnamed Blu-ray movie.

Sony has yet to confirm official prices for the bundles.

PS3 bundles will not be released in UK

Sony has reportedly confirmed that its latest PlayStation 3 hardware bundles will not be released outside of mainland Europe.

Following news that Sony will launch two new PS3 bundles, the firm has now revealed that neither will make it to the UK.

The two packs, consisted of the new 80GB PS3 and either a copy of Gran Turismo 5: Prologue or a Blu-ray movie, were expected in the UK in September and October respectively.

However, blog PS3 Attitude claims it has received an official statement from Sony, revealing: "The UK does not generally offer hardware bundles. These particular bundles are not Europe-wide and will not be offered to the UK market.”
