Hi guys,
Major problem as i'm not able to view any channels on my solo2 anymore.
I figured that the tuner settings got bugged and now it states, next to satellite in Menu>Setup>Service Searching>Tuner Configuration that there is "nothing connected" - how do i overcome this problem? It's allowing me to pick a satellite or anything. it is a brand new box and not cloned.

If you use the cusor <> button on the remote does it show and sats ?

If not you could reflash the image, of simple try and some channel setting to determine if your current satellite.xml is corrupt or not.

nope it doesn't allow me to change sats nor does it show them, its just stuck to no connection.
if i reflash the image - can i do this over the network?
also i have BH, and tbh i don't understand it so i might be better off reflash to something just easy for a newbie.

No mate best way to flash the solo is by USB stick like this

1. Unzip image
2. Format a USB FAT32
3. Copy the folder to the root of the USB
4. Connect USB
5. Turns VU + Solo2
6. Press power button to start

As I say though mate it could just be you messed up the satellite.xml and all you need to do is replace it or flash some settings like this

when you say "to the root of the usb" - what do you mean? i'm taking that as just copying the files (or main folder) and pasting them into the usb drive?

i tried the installation as per your intructions but nothing happened.
When i switched on the solo, the screen flashed twice and then dumped an error on me saying: "BH Message - Service unavailable, check tuner configuration"

Try a different USB stick as the VU range can be picky

Mate follow the reflashing instructions it has to work if not.

Reformt your usb stick or try another transfer the unrared VU folder to it and try again.

try this USB format tool

do the reflashing instructions differ to the ones intructed on this thread? if so, could you please direct me to them?
I will try with another usb drive, i will be surprised if that does the trick.
still have the satellite problem ("not connected") - this won't let me see channels regardless of what image i have!

One thing to note mate if you have another usb plugged in the back then remove it. Only one usb can be used when flashing so remove any others. Also make sure the solo2 is powered off then put usb stick in and power on. Off as with the power switch at the rear.

Put your usb in the front socket but also try the rear ones.

When you turn it back on is it showing update on the display?

If not then its not reading the usb stick
