Hello

I have a TT2100c and have word that it works on softcam. Currently trying out rITZdvB. GOT IT SET UP nad installed. the problem lies with the transponder file. cannot bloddy create one for my area. any file i create it says no channels found not even FTA. Coudl someone plz help me out. i am from blackburn my frquency is 66750 and symbol rate ids 6952. how do i go about creating one. Help plz wasted 10 hours on it so far and got nowhere

If you can upload one of Ritz's current transponder files, some kind soul can probably make you one with the UK bruteforce frequencies, but we would need to know the file syntax, and I doubt anyone around here uses Ritz.

From what I can remember there's some bugs in some of these 3rd party programs with TT BDA drivers (DVBcore related I think) that means they dont properly scan on cable. The solution is to manually scan each transponder frequency for your area. There's usually only around 30 to do so it doesn't take that long.

Whats the Blackburn NetId ?

If your on 666750 i'd guess your exCW but i'm sure someone will do a NIT scan for you. Try a manual scan on the frequency you know, 666.750Mhz, just to see if it works.

Helo Guys

Thanks for replies.

An attached transponder file for ritzdvb is attached is as follows

the details by a transponder-line are:

IncreasingNr=Frequency,V,Symbolrate

(the line 0 is the count number of all transponder-lines)

The Details for My Are Blackburn Are

Ex C&W
Network ID- 41048
Frequency - 666750

I did to a manual scan on teh frequency 666750 but came up with no channels found. however i have found some information with regards to selecting the QAM. i did not choose anything. Is it 64 QAM or 256 QAM which needs to be chosen as one of the options.

if someone give me some frequency for my area so i can put in transponder file.

cheerz

It's 64 QAM.

I've attached two files. They're based on a standard UK bruteforce for 6952. The reason I've included two is that I seem to remember ProgDVB's transponder format uses hz for the symbalrate, but the example you sent uses khz. Hopefully one of these will work. It will take a little while to scan, as there are 188 frequencies in the file, so don't give up after a few missed ones.

EDIT: Made a mistake, new files attached.

hello, thanks for reply. i can confirm ritzdvb uses khz. the format for your transponder differs from the template given with ritzdvb. i.e the ritz dvb transponder has a "V" between frequency and symbol rate. in your transponder you dont. what is this "V" and is this necessary.

and also you have mentioned QAM setting in urs does not specify in ritzdvb transponder to specify QAM in transponder.

could someone clarfiy these issues for us please before i make another attempt at trying to get it to work

It's a polarization setting that doesn't apply to UK cable.

and also you have mentioned QAM setting in urs does not specify in ritzdvb transponder to specify QAM in transponder.
And as you may remember, the Ritzdvb transponder file didn't work. ;)

A friend of mine tested new_trans_01.txt with ProgDVB, another DVBcore based app, and it scanned just fine.

it specifically says in the help file that tranponder file from other programs will not work. it needs to converted in the Ritzdvb format. this is why i asked. however i will try it out after finishin work and will let u knw how i get on.

If Ritz is based on DVBcore, surely it uses the same scanning engine as ProgDVB. Anyway, if it doesn't work, copy the frequencies from my file into the Ritz transponder file, but leave the QAM stuff. Polarization settings just don't apply to UK cable.

here's my transponder file for ritzdvb, i've answered on TechW as well, just put the .ini file into the transponder folder and load it by using the folder icon next to the getNETInfo....see photo

also dvbepg is pretty good, using this?

i've found a service file, but not sure it's blackburns think it's burnleys, try these few frequencies first

394750000, 6952000
594750000, 6952000
466750000, 6952000
730750000, 6952000

How peculiar. Don't think I've ever seen a DVB app with those kind of sat specific settings for cable. What happens if you change the polarization setting?

will your transpondef file work cos i am in different area my symbol rate is different to yours. shall i use the burnley frequencies

thanks

They might not work, but you can grab the frequencies from the bruteforce I uploaded. And it appears you should keep the polarization settings after all.

Once you've done a full scan with those, you'll be able to see which 30-odd frequencies are working in your area, and you can create a custom transponders file based on that, which will scan in minutes each time. Honk if you need any help merging the files.

my transponder file won't work it's ex pure that's y i gave some frequencies from the burnley file(not my area just helped out someone a few months ago on m$n) and got a copy of their service file, if they work i'll post the whole file. burnley is the same net id, freq, sym rate as blackburn.

I have tried these fequencies from burnley to no joy. i think u added three extra zeros to the frequencies which i removed. my transponder file is attached below. Also in ritzdvb in your screenshot you have signal in green i do not have that when i start ritxdvb will that to do with anything. I just dont know what I am doing wrong. To be sure this is what I have done so far from scratch

1. Put TT2100c Card Into PCI Slot in PC.
2. Drivers Installed
3. Attach Coax Cable in Card
4. Install RITZDVB
5. Create Transponder File (Attached)
6. Scan Transponder

The result i get "No Channels Found":Angryfire

What am I dong wrong plz help. At this rate i will be happy with FTA channels.

You won't get signal readings until you've locked onto an active transponder.

Your file was missing the lnb info from the bottom, which might be important, if this transponder file format is as sensitive as you say. I've added the bruteforce frequencies to Neathdrew's file. Try giving this one a go, but like I said earlier, be patient, it has 189 frequencies.

did u load the transponder file and see the frequencies like in my photo and then scan all transponders?

You'd be far better off installing the program that comes with the card and making sure that works properly first. You can use it to do a scan and get all the info you need for other 3rd party apps !

theres an idea fp use the TT premium app......

works 4 me with tt2100c, saying that though ritzdvb does as well lol
