.TS Files-Playback

I tired this a few weeks back but failed to get it working with the encoder I tired . Cant remember what it was as I deleted it now

has anyone managed to encode a film from the PC and transfered it to usb/hdd and played it back via kv box ?

I managed to convert a divx file to ts but it wouldnt play.
When i looked at a file i recorded from the tv it had two other files an index file and a set up file not got a clue how to create them.

dunno if this any use to you but i use allock avi mpeg
converter, to play on my dm600 hdd
