transfer of acheivments to new elite?

Hi all
Like lots of others my 360 was banned in the last wave.
Its only the console thats banned & not the live account as i have checked on the xbox site.
So I have a new elite with new chpiset etc for the kids xmas present.
What i want to know is can i transfer the echeivements from the old 360 with 20gig HDD to the new one with 120gigHDD.
Can i simply use a USB flash drive instead of buying a 360 mem card.
I have bought A 360 HDD to PC dongle off ebay, but the software looks complicated and GUI is not the best.
Instuctions in the usual Chinese to English translation, Lol
Any help appreciated.

The acheivements are attached to your gamertag (just need to recover on your new machine, as are any downloads that you purchased seperately (you just have to re-download them).

I lost all gamesaves that's all

oh and go to account management then download history to re-download any DLC content you previously had.

edit just seen post 2 mentions this but doesnt state where to re=download you DLC.
