Getting sick and tired of people complaining about the tm800hd in various threads so in future can all complaints go here please.

Issues that I am aware of and not happy with on my box

built in card reader doesn't work. sorted
media player doesn't play the formats promised
can't mount a remote share. sorted (with tinkering)
password request on yellow button (sorted)
open source linux not open sourced (sorted)

Any others issues please add to this thread then we can keep the forum for the discussions on what is working.

Of course as new images come out we will be editing this thread until with hope it can be deleted.

Any whinging in other threads please don't moan if/when we delete them.

If I reboot my TM800, it loses the Wifi Card.

I need to switch the power off to the unit to get my Wifi back.

Also, my internal HDD is almost never detected, I'd say I have a 1 in 4 chance of my HDD being picked up on boot. I've tried 3 other drives and all 3 behave the same.

...but I still enjoy the box and I look forward to the day things work as they should.

I think its a bit cheeky closing my thread and making this stickie... Could of just made that thread a stickie...

Anyway recently noticed when flicking through channels too fast the box will crash and reboot or freeze. Dont know if this is because not subbed to all channels and get that error msg sid not found or something like that but it has happened about 3-4 times recently...

Still got a feeling my box my be overheating dispite having fan reconnected.

3-To install hard disk it has to be formatted NTFS otherwise TM-800 will not detect it.


What sort of Bol**ocks is this..... it has to windows format before it will recognise your internal hard disk. This is a JOKE so that means whenever you flash you have to take the disk out and delete everything you have recorded!!!! and make it into NTFS?



I flash my Vu and the disc is still recognised and working as before. :lol:

So this jtagged seems to be another joke.I wonder if it will be ever a reciever to buy in the future; not for me anyway.i hope i will get refund so i can get another reciver(vuo+ solo costs as much as TM 800 now))

Well! I've always had praise for TM, but I sent my TM800HD back for CPU reprog last Friday 3rd, they got it on Monday 6th and I still haven't got it back, I phoned them yesterday Friday 10th, and found out that City Link has my box,

Fair enough it's not TM's fault, but my patience is now wearing very thin, especially as City Link ain't answering any of my calls (Fooking Tossers)

It's a valid moan but as you said out of technomates hands.
dhl via staples are also rubbish, only used them once and they lost my parcel.

took citylink 3 days to get a parcel to me, that would have taken 3 hours to go and get myself last week

City link have my box to its been on the van 3 days running out for delivery and its still not got to me LOL

would not be surprised if it arrives damaged!!!!!!!

Not sure where you folk live but here just inside the M25 we've been snowed in for almost a fortnight and yesterday was the first time we got out. Had 10 days post delivered at 5pm yesterday.

This country makes me laugh (sometimes) at how bollocked we become when a bit of snow lands, Finland has been coping with bad winters for years and not much comes to a stop, it's just business as usual, we rely on our roads so much and have some of the most hard to access areas, so why don't we have better systems in place?

Oh! and to stay on topic I'm still waiting for MY FOOKING TM800HD to come back.

wi fi not working on new image at all
hdd not reconized on every reboot.
hd audio problem still there .

I downloaded image 13-12 do not have problem with wifi or hard disk as wll as sly sport hd
wondering what that may be
if you are using old channel list do not use it
do factory reset then scan new channels test it if ok after
use your old channel list this might help to find out where is the problem is

is anyone else having problem with the lastest image have trouble playing back recorded stuff. It is far better than its was but sometimes when i playback something ive been watching and stopped then go back to the box goes on a cog a thon and locks up and i have to switch the thing off

I have same problem with internal hard disk
contacted tm
image for seta internal hard disk not fully functional on high bit rate hd channel some hd channels are ok some not
my external hard disk has no problem in play back in any hd channels
reply from tm was image will be fixed very soon
