The DM8000 is 900 squid and for that money it would need to be able to suck me off to even contemplate it!

At £400 the vu+ duo is much better value for money and solid as a rock. Still has some bugs but they are being ironed out all the time. Regular software updates and very good support about for it.

If money were no object, I'd STILL go for the VU+ Duo.

The DM8000 price is pathetic and I hope the Vu+ Duo kills the market for the greedy German bastards! :)

Exactly that, couldn't have put it better!

Proof of the pudding is in the eating and you will not find a vu+ duo owner unhappy.

Love my VU+ duo glad i chose it over the TM800 which feels really cheaply made compared to the VU+ duo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oooh, that's a nice price. :)

How did that happen?

I love my VU+ Duo

with the latest firmware there is now support for Usb tuners

In all honesty, I'll be playing with this TM800 until the firmware has matured then I'll be flogging it on and grabbing a VU+ Duo from EuroSky. :)

As much as I like the box, my heart was already set on a Duo.

thanks mind made up now!!

when i get box do i need cam/card reader/programmer to set up my c/s??

sorry but new to all this sat stuff!

cheers.

to get a cs working all you will need is the receiver and knowledge

didn't see the point in going any further b4 he has even got what he needs.

@premplop51
