Have we managed to get a full definitive list of tiers for each area? (N*L - C&W - TW)

Could we have a thread dedicated to each area for teirs? I keep frying cards cos I put in a tier thinking it's for my area but it turns out it's not. (very frustrating)

Also, when the tiers are listed can they be listed with the corresponding channels that they give?

Ok, forgive me for being a little silly, but I was wondering what the tiers are using the "!ADD script"

Looking at the 1st part of your post you list the basic channels, sports channels, movie channels etc but I still have some gaps I need filling.

Now, there are 2 base packages... I read somewhere that we should only use one... 1) why are there 2 in that case?

2) Has anyone actually found out what these are?

Do we need them? If they are not in our channel tiers what will happen?

3) Is there anyway of getting it so we can programme the cards like the CC's do? M, L and XL packages etc...

Their are 2 base tiers that i added just use 1 it doesnt matter either will do. As far as i know there is not a single tier for the M, L XL packages but instead these packages are made up of the tiers that i have listed. This is certainly how the cards i have unlocked have been.

The tiers that i have written "not sure got nothing" you dont need to add. You can have 95% of the available channels if you add the relevant tiers from the list.

The "add" tiers down the bottom i just copied straigh off a card. The other tiers i took the relevant details from the card and posted the info. If you read my tut you will understand it all better.

I am trying to setup mosc card on xcw virgin using following on rom10

Tier 1: 0001 - 012C
Tier 2: 012E - 1000

identifiers - 98 96 d8

using icu au image deleting the tiers 8 and then adding the 2 above.. cannot get this to work with rom10.

advice will be appreciated.

I've been going through pages and pages on this thread but I cannot seem to find any rights identifiers for excw , I desperately want to get my mosc working again with my own unique image, after already frying 5 cards, so i need to get this right. :eater: can somebody please point me to the right directions for a excw rights identifier, also where I could i get a suitable image to modify,and what type of rom image would I need 10 or 11. Also the rights dates, do they all have to be the same from tier to tier.

Sorry for the barrage of questions guys, but I cannot afford to feck up coz I only have one mosc left, after i had 6 moscs.

i would use a non locking rom 10/11 image (depending on what ROM card you have) and modify that....they should be in the downloads.

TBH its all trial and error.....trying to get your card to open everything is a royal pain in the backside and usually frys the card.....i would just use add the channells you watch and leave the rest of the stuff.... eg use get the M package working then add sports etc.

i have been trying to find details of the virgin XL package but cant find it......if someone had a valid sub for the XL package then i could read the tiers....but i dont know anybody

You should never be frying the card. The killer Emm is a fairly simple thing that only kills under a very specific condition. Once you know that condition its pretty easy to avoid it !

The Killer Emm set consists of 3 Emm's. 2 pre-killers test for various conditions and mark the card if these conditions are found. The actual killer then responds to these marks.

The only Emm you need to worry about is the one that checks the Tier8 Min/Max span. Once you see the condition that it looks for you are sorted.

For instance, one of the providers (cant remember which one) looks for the condition Min <= 0xCF AND Max >= 0xCF. In other words, if any tier8 enables a channel identifier of 0xCF then the card is toast !

Knowing that you could then enable all channels with 2 tiers8's

Tier 1- Min=0001, Max=00CE
Tier 2- Min=00D0, Max=7FFF

That would work and it won't kill your card but obviously its better to use real tier groups.

For NTL avoid any tier that has a min chnl <= 0024 AND a max chnl >= 0024
For TW avoid any tier that has a min chnl <= 00CF AND a max chnl >= 00CF
For C&W avoid any tier that has a min chnl <= 012D AND a max chnl >= 012D

Again... I dunno HOW you get this data, but my god... it works!!

Hi ya guys not really been here for a while so i thought i would do a bit of reading. I have just read this entire thread from that to finish all 313 post and i am fairly sure i could fiddle around with my tier list if i needed to. But can someone please tell me why exactly i would want to?

At the moment I am using an AU Fun card with an image which gives me all the channels (except the porn and movie channels which are there but just require the pin for which i think i need to re activate the talk back for ) all channels including god,baby tv, and Asian channels

So far my card has only gone down when there has been a key role method change and as far as i know having a unique image won't stop this ( correct me if i am wrong.)
I have never had a card " Zapped" Does this only happen to moscs? I have only used tits and funs
Have i just been lucky Or am i missing something

As for my set up:

My ultimate question is why do i want to start fiddling with my teirs? I have always been told to respect my teirs ( or was that my peers?)

Hi m8,

You have a high risk of frying a mosc with an image then you would for a fun,tit, or atmega cards. I doubt there is much point in fiddling with tiers on a image to be used on a funcard because if there is a keyroll and the cards cant handle the key change you will only have to replace the flash and not the image. You should try having ago making a mosc yourself, not that difficult the good thing about moscs is that if you have your own unique image with good tiers its less likely your card will get fried.

MOSC cards are really the only cards you need to change the tiers on as they are the cards that cc's can "fry" and kill the card.

All other types of cards - funcard, OPUS, tit(2), atmega etc - cannot (as far as I know) be killed, you are always able to re-read / re-write to the card even if they stop working (I think cos the chip works differently to a MOSC style chip) the funs, atmegas, tit, etc cards are programmed to "emulate" the way a proper cc card works, but they have different architecture so the cc's cannot kill them.

I get the picture now. But can you confirm what i am thinking then, that if i create a mosc card with a realistic set of teirs and valid date the card is less likly to get fried and less likely to go down when there is a keyrole method change ie does a mosc keep going when all the others tit and funs for eg go down?

That's the general idea...

The only thing you need to worry about is keeping the dates on the tiers up to date... you can use nagradate to set a date in the future... but remember to make the date not too far in the future, as that might be something the cc's target... and then ur back to square 1 with a fried card.

@mad it depends what the benchmark is........ as a general rule of thumb it is better to keep the MOSC cards as realistic as possible, as it will easily pass the benchmark. At the moment as @nozzer said you can get away with just 2 tiers in CW as that meets the current benchmark in that provider area...although in the future this benchmark can and probably will change.......
