[DM800SE] help : mgcamd+oscam server (ubuntu)+omnikey3121 cant clear Ch5 HD

Greetings 2 all

i've read and read and read and searched and searched and searched but i'm at a dead end now - time to ask the experts....

i went from cccam->newcs->oscam because of the card reader (!) but now i'm well and truly baffled

i've stared long enough and it all seems fine to me - it should just work :eek:

any help is appreciated!!!




Background:

Currently on vermin [sports+movies], want to switch to sly [legit subscription] as i want sly go
Can't stand the limitations of standard STB's so wanted to use DM's (net stream to pc's, tab, phone etc)
Trialling C*S and once it's working will move!!!

Testing with standard s*y wh*te which shows Ch5 HD when in original s*y box, remove card and Ch5 HD disappears on standard s*y box

Card is detected and read by server

Problem:

Can't view channels which require card eg. Ch5 HD on DM800SE

Client: DM800SE clone Ferarri sim SSL82F
Image: Newnigma2 v3.2.2

Client cam: Mgcamd 1.35a & Mgcamd 1.36

Client does connect to server and authenticate ok

What am i missing guys???

I'm not sure why you have your Oscam server file the same as your conf file, but your server file should look something like this:

I've sussed it!

the problem was in mg_cfg

# network mode, use summ for several clients
# 00 no network (default)
# 01 newcamd netclient
# 02 radegast netclient
# 04 camd3 netclient
# 08 gbox netclient
G: { 09 }

I changed it to:

G: { 01 }

restarted the emu and all was clear!!!

Now, in theory, G: { 09 } means use options 08 and 01
so the box should have automatically used newcamd 01 or gbox 08 as appropriate

In theory, you should be able to sum them all and do { 15 } but i tried that and no joy.

So, i suggest setting the network mode entry on the client to the corresponding server requirement.

I've had this with Mgcamd before. Some packages even come with the network disabled by default in the config. When I make the tgz packages for DM800 Dreamelite BH I always have 'G: { 01 }' as default.
