struggling with amiko micro hd (ftp)

Folks im struggling to connect amiko micro hd to my ftp.
i have went to.......
menu
ethernet settings
and ip address is 192.168.000.006
to me that ip does not look right.

when i open my ftp and type ip address in and user as "root" i can not connect??

any ideas??

Windows start menu at the search promt type

cmd

When that starts type

ipconfig /all

This will give you your network details and it will help you find out if the ip you using is in the same range at very least.

why do you need to ftp to amiko

Amiko micro HD is a closed source receiver. Wont be able to do much with telnet.

If you run the latest Enhanced firmware it will allow you to flash the firmware by FTP.
