If you mean Stream from the internet to the solo then yes with plugins such as tsmedia.

It can be done on any linux box by mounting the PC can be tricky because of the security on the PC side but it is possible id you have the patience

HD over Ethernet yeah it would also depend on your network .

So many factors, most would steam from a nas drive.
