ive been able to get hold of some flush mounting ceiling speakers. but came with no manual or fitting instructions.

im not sure on ......

1. the power supply to these - if there is any. it looks like on the back they have to have a power supply as well as the speaker cable.

2. how much room they need to perform well behind them. i have high celings so fitting a false ceiling will be no problem.

they are made by a company called ' audix communications '

any help, will as always, be greatly appreciated.

cheers

Public address speakers are driven by a different type of amplfier output than hi-fi systems. This is quoted in volts rather than ohms. It's possible your speakers have a choice of connections.

If you don't mind cutting a couple of holes in your ceiling you shouldn't need to fit a false one but either way the amount of space behind doesn't matter. It will be large anyway and you'll have what's known as an "infinite baffle".

Try http://www.poshspeakers.com/Comm/pdfInstall/InfiniteBaffle.pdf

Give it time to load. :) :)
