Ordered so favourites aren't essential.

right guys iv just tried loading this 1 too but the categories are still wrong, there all mixed up, however with this set they are all in some sort of order when you just use the normal channels and not the favourites button. anybody got any idea why there mixed up still or is it just a problem with the boxes so you cant order them correctly or something.

thanks stillabrummie as this is the best 1 yet, im just not grasping why the favs are all still jumbled up under different categories

From what I see up there, i can see **y categorisation. What do you mean mixed up?

if i press favs, and select disney, its not kids programs, its the movies category, then if i select movies, its the sports, so on and so on!

if i use all satelite group rather than favs then they are all in a nice list in order which is livable, but still dont understand why there not in there correct fav list.

well it is more than fine, but whats the point of having favs if there all gunna mixed up, just seems strange to me, or maybe im doing something wrong i dont know, im new to these boxes so just messing about, however there not for my personal use so need to get them setup.

I think that is the original 28.2e categorization save for difference in numbers. The good thing is that you can edit them and backup again to your memory stick. At least then u will have a livable one that u can share here . What so u say? that will be your deed for the year

By the way any favs created by somebody else is somebody else's FAVS. The idea behind favs is for you to create your own, the way you like it. However society has become so lazy you want somebody else to create your favorites for you. ( generally speaking )

Sorry mate. I see what is wrong now. You need to rename the favorites groups.

Everything is in the right place however the old favorites group names that you have do not change you will need to rename them and then you will smile .

well i cant work out how to change the headers for the favourites so any guidance of that would be appreciated, lol, then ill take a full back and flash other box with it, thanks!

Press menu

edit channel

ok on favourites edit

press FAV on remote

go to middle pane press ok on pencil/rename

press red to delete old group name

enter new name

blue to save

exit once and start again

Till you rename all the categories.

You need to have the category names handy though.

i spent a few hours last night adding all the txp,s manually for 28.2e as the blind scan is shite and i re-named the first 10 favourites and did some sort of order in the HD favourite then saved everything but after a re-boot all the favourites went back to their settings before the edit and the hd favourites changed to transponder order instead of how i added them.. eg, bbc1/bbchd/itvhd/c4hd/c5hd then sports,movies,general,docu,music,kids from ch1 to ch69 waste of 3 hours as i did it all by remote LOL, has anyone used this ALI-EDITOR on their F3 as if it works and holds them in the order i put them im willing to put the work in even if it takes 12 hours or so,regards mdt

This is a bit of a bump but I have to agree 100% with mdt here

This box has a nightmare of a system for Channel line up/favorites list lol

Ajs channel list works wonders and if all your doing is using 28east then its 100% perfect/ Doing any other satelites then your likely to explode your brain.

I think the issue is that one file TP_PROG.dbs it holds all the information on your Satellite list and your Channels and then all your Favorites, I maybe wrong on this but that is too much ! it should be all separate, ie what if I don't want to delete favorites and just want to add newly added channels....

I have been rattling with it past day, I was trying to get Ajs channel list going and then adding multi satellite list like 13e/9e to the actual list, even that was tricky !

I was trying to get Ajs amazing channel list for 28e, and 9e and 13e going but even after spending hours on it I just realized the issue is when AJ releases a new channel list its gonna wipe all my current 13e/9e channel list !

So bottom line is if your using just 28e, then ajs channel list is 100% perfect, anything else your better off almost buying a better box lol

Well perhaps not that bad, worst case is if you got a Motor or multi Lnb setup then you can add your Sats separately/scan channels for those sats and just use the default long list or create smaller favs, I may try a editior... but for now its sorted I aint gonna scan 28e, even scanning for new channels I think would mess up Ajs favs lol
