skybox f3 channel lists

hi guys, got a couple of skybox f3 boxes coming today, they have the latest firmware on i believe but they wont have regional channel lists on for newcastle, how can i go about making regional channel lists or is there anywhere i can download the latest ones with region specific channels already sorted, any help appreciated gents, thanks!

thanks, but by that do you mean they will just be 1 list with all channels, as thats not what i want really!

no a complete list of favorites eg in favs there will be entertainment sport music sprcialist movies etc try it but you will have to redo your settings but if you load the new firmware posted it have a seve feature for db etc

cheers mate just done that and it did as you say, but ideally id of liked it like the sly channels, to me they still seem all jumbled up, like sports channels shouldnt be under entertainment or is this the only way it can be with these boxes, appreciate the replies

its the same with the movies fav, theres entertainment channels in there too, it just seems abit pointless when there all mixed up into 1 another.

yeah they work mate i tried it just to see and it was pretty much the same, just ordered differently, seems stupid to mix the channels up, defies the point of having them under different categories.

was pretty much the same as the one that was on mate, just shite how the channels are allover the shop, like i said its a waste of having the favorites really when channels are allover the place anyway.

havent really studied all the default channels mate but there is a sport section and movies but these are a little less easier than other boxes that ive used but cracking little budget box - there is the option of the rs232 to your pc route you can take with alieditor but not got round to that yet - i accidently stumbled on the default favs section and its reasonable considering the hassle for favs with these and kinda settled with these for now - only thing is with this found you cant save these to reupload but will do for now

can you not just dump them onto usb to transfer to any other box if your happy with them mate sure ya can, i really thought someone would have made a proper channel list with the right channels in the right categories, might have a look into the alieditor if i can find it anywhere and try and make my own if no1 has a decent setup they want to share but hopefully someone piles in with a nice list for us

unfortunately the channel management and epg are a massive let down on these boxs but for £50 we cant grumble and the HD picture is absolutley fantastic and on a par if not better than my vu+uno. i think ill give this ALI-editor a spin myself as ive got a 3m rs232 lead and plenty of spare time now since i lost my job. the list @wiz uploaded is a good starting point and with some work could be a excellent list for those of us with the F3 on a fixed dish at 28.2/5e regards mdt

i think you can use PVR800 editor its an openbox channel editor to organise the channels, ive used it in the past but is a bit of a pin in the arse as its not just drag n drop like on dcc. You just dump the existing list to usb, you change the .abs file to .dbs (might be vice versa), then open it up with pvr editor, reorganise to your liking the save and exit. rename back from .dbs to .abs and reupload via usb to the receiver.

right iv just tried them, and when i click favs and goto disney, it has movies in there not kids, movies fav has sports, sports has news, news has kids, music 1 is right lol, and documentary has shopping stuff in it, am i doing something wrong here or what!
