Cant even go down the component route as the sky hd box does not support it even though the panny does.

Could I use a hdmi (from sky box to tv) to component lead. Ive seem some with the 3 component jacks & what looks like two black & red audio jacks. Would the hd picture quality suffer & how does the audio work ?

Problem solved. Took out amstrad box & put in a brand new samsung one updated & all works fine. Im sure the original was not brand new having looked at the difference in the boxes they came in. Something to do with compatability issues after a software update on the sky box, apparently. To be fair to sky they sent two blokes round to sort this out & they did.
