Bravia and sky hd box issue...

we bought a Sony bravia 50w656a a few months back and have a rather annoying issue with our sky box.

every time we turn the tv off, them back on again the tv doesn't hold the hdmi signal. We have to turn the sky hd box off then back on again to get tv.

never had this problem with our last sony tv of an older model

any thoughts?

using a good quality hdmi cable?does the tv settings need a tweak as it matches output of skybox?

I'm having a similar problem, everytime I swtich on my tv, the first channel is channel 08 analogue channel and not the sky box which is on the hdmi.

Does anybody know how I can set up the tv so that whenever I switch it on it goes directly to the hdmi input?
