set-top box cable connection

Hi,

i have posted elsewhere at this site,about how i am convinced that my tv has screen uniformity issues,the tv in question is samsung UE32f5000,it is connected to a virgin media tivo box,i have changed many cables & settings and alas no difference..

very recently i have found out that behind the plastic covering against the wall where the f-connector cable goes into,is a small metal device called tratec tris-1002AEN,the little information i was able to find out online about it was that,it is a surge protector for broadband connection,and not for ariel connection,even though we get a comparable picture,it is not the picture we expected..

should we get an screened ariel outlet plate,but more to the point,will the tv picture issues be resumed..

any info will be appreciated...

I have answered in original thread.
Just to add I have same surge protector fitted.
But now I think you need to either accept the tv for what it is or contact seller.
