Screen goes blank when game loads

Like alot of people i havent used the wii for a while
I select Neo Gamma, press start and the game start to load and the screen goes blank and the controller goes off.
I have to hold the power button for 10 secs to re-set it

any ideas

Just to add its 4.3E and i just tried a original game that also fails to load using Neo gamma but loaded fine using the normal method

best thing to do would be to run syscheck, to see if anything needs updating.

i take it your wii was playing backups at one point? as newer wii's cannot play dvd backups.

Yeah we used it Christmas using DVD's ,the disk was still in the Wii
Will try your checker later as i've got to clean the stupid conservatory

Found the first problem,,No Homebrew channel
I'm thinking the kids may of updated the Wii online 4.2e to 4.3e without me knowing???

not to worry though, you can softmod a wii easily now using modmii..

its a doddle to use m8, all you need is an sd card.

just load up the app and follow instructions...

I read one of your other posts and down loaded the files this afternoon,,The Neo gamma stayed on the channel list and loaded the 2 games i tried from DVD :Biggrin2:..The only miner problem the top left channel i cant load games from there as it comes up with a Error message??
Should i be using another program other than Neo??

you can only load backups from the main channel using an app called "dark ops",
this is considered dangerous and bricks wii's, hence the backup channel...

tbh your best bet is going down the usb loader route,
much easier and cleaner..

That cost money and i've got 100+ Verbatium DVD's still sealed laying around
