Samsung Smt-2100c Help

HEllow everyone,
I'm new to the forum
Need some help please.
Bought a second hand samsung smt-2100c ntl box.
Can't get it to work.
keep getting the following errors LD20 & LD30

Does this box need reset or what????

Just to let u know I have a pace box and that works completly fine.

The samsung box does work.

Can anyone pleae help me????

What is the 'net id'?

I'm not getting a signal to this box
the error I'm getting is LD20 ( I think the box is trying to get a signal but its being blocked or something)

This samsung box works at the address it was registered to.

How can I get it to work?

Any help would be appriciated.

you will need to sort the net id in order to get a signal therefore you are getting ld20

use the search facility mate its all there about net id's

Do I need to purchase a JTAG to alter the net id?

I accessed the engineer menu, but it wouldn't allow me to alter the net id.

I'm in the Leicester area

The net id I found was 643.000 NTL 00012

I set 643.000

When I reboot the box, all I get is channel not available.

@scooby - somewhere in the eng. menu on the samsung there is a field which states if the box is running DOCSIS or DAVIC firmware. If it is running DOCSIS then I think you have to set your netid (using jtag as mentioned). If it is running DAVIC then it should set itself - but it might help if you (BRIEFLY) short the battery to reset everything.

if the sammy came from a davic stream it will reset it own net id if not the first time its moved the net id must be set manually - what area did the box actually come from? <name of the city will do.
