Android Samsung Pay

Does Samsung pay just act as your card ?
I just got caught out in Aldi got a few bits and while I was at the till realised I'd left my wallet indoors lol
So in this case could I have used Samsung pay ? Is it accepted anywhere as its linked to a card

Should do mind samsung pay would not work for me at Heathrow, so now trialling android pay

I use Apple Pay regularly and just appears on my bank account as my card, so imagine it would be the same as Samsung. Accepted anywhere that has contactless payment equipment.

Apple Pay maybe accepted everywhere and Android Pay may be close but not sure about all the others, Barclays does not support a lot of them and has its own which is not accepted everywhere.

I think for the moment your flexible fiend is the best

Indeed it does but limited take up so far, MBNA, CO-OP HSBC, Santader, M&S, Nationwide and First Direct are only banks supporting it at present.

As above says not all shops are able to take contactless / Apple or Andriod Pay yet. I know a few months ago when in JS they were not set up for contactless but that could have changed now

I've been using Samsung Pay for quite a while now. Never had a problem. Anywhere they are able to take a tappy tap contactless card I've been able to use Samsung Pay.

I may give the SamsungPay app another go then as Android Pay Privacy issues are not great apparently
