Linux RasPi USB wifi problem

Hi guys

I have a PI running on XBMC raspian...another on RASBMC and I cannot get either to run on a WIFI dongle....have tried network manager etc bit just cannot seem to get it right....any help at all would much appreciated lads

is the wifi dongle supported by the raspberry pi mate , i know not all dongles work

what you need is this ralink RT5370 chipset Mini 150Mbps 150M WIFI USB Wireless Network Adapter 14 | eBay

have you set the gateway and dns IP's.
i couldnt get the wifi to connect, the filled these in and it worked straight away.

also have you tried the dongle in wheezy, or other normal linux on the PI.
