R4DS not working

I can seem to make the r4ds work i have formatted the micro card and made sure it is fat32 and the ds does not pick up the r4ds

The ds displays please insert ds game - ive wiped the contacts and still no joy

I have installed the latest firmware off the r4ds site still nothing

Any ideas??????????????????

i had same problem and it was down to the micro sd even though i could format and install roms i tried a different card and it worked fine again it did make me wonder why but i still aint got the answer...hope that helps m8

what version of the r4 do u have
there are a few that need different software
have u a link to the one u have???
 
Go back onto r4ds site and see what firmware you downloaded..i still use version 1.14 and havent had any troubles since.. i can upload it for you if required

ive tried a different memory card - same issue

but the one im using is a 1g sandisk
 
Ive tried frimware 1,12 - did not work

i tried to downalod 1.11 but could not get it to work corrupt file
 
have you this on the root of your mem card?
1x folder called _system_
1x folder called moonshl
1x file called _DS_MENU.DAT
1xfile called _DS_MSHL.NDS
 
sorry fogot to metion the card worked before and all off a sudden it stopped working

I have just bought a new card and got the latest FW and as well asthe System & Moonshl folders i have also got
_DS_MENU.INI
_DS_MENU.DAT
_DS_MENU.SYS
_DS_MENU>NDS
files, don't know if that makes a difference

have u tried 1.20 0r 1.21 as in my post with that extra file l posted ?
 
if u have tried all the legit firmware upto 1.18 and it hasn`t worked tthen u`ll need the firmware smirnoff suggested this works on the fake and cloned cards mine have 1.21 on them and work fine but it won`t work with 1.18 firmware on it u`ll just have to download all versionsd and try around m8 i`m 100% u`ll be on 1.21 for ur card ( does ur box have in top right hand corner NEW!! in a star ? and on back it says it takes 4, 8 & 32gb cards my last box like this had a sticker on front saying to use 1.21 firmware with the card hope this helps
