if your a gambling man you could look on fleebay or somewhere like that and pick up a faulty ps3 for around 70/80 quid and then phone up sony and say that your ps3 has developed a fault(the old psp blag) and they will send out a refurbed ps3 within a couple of days.

this will only work with 40/80gb bought within last 12 months. they stopped this with the 60gb a few months back and anything out of the warranty period will mean £99 for repair or £145 for refurb.
