i've literally just bought a 1964 small window VW Beetle. in bits, all the hard work done - all the welding and repair work. Needs a bit more done, engine rebuild and refitting. full respray, all panels, electrics and the biggest job is the interior. this is my first restoration and it's a sort of christmas present for the wife. i reckon it'll take a couple of years doing a bit at a time - but hey thats the fun!! going to make it original as possible, cream finish, white wall wheels, bright work etc. can't wait till it's delivered next week to my garage!
