I've had a look also and can't see anything going cheap.

Peter Tyson is a good retailer though, I've bought AV from him before

John have a word with Hawkish and see if he has one and can match the prices you seen, Maybe worth a shot.

I'm sure he'd help if possible.

I'll keep an eye out also. Have you tried MACRO? if not give them a ring and see what they have in stock. They had pannys the other day but I didn't check the model numbers

Ive spoken to hawkish mate :)

well its tough to make my mind up tbh
Im reading some bad stuff on another forum about this TV :(

but then you read good stuff :err:

think Ill save my cash

What bad things you heard m8? tbh I was looking today and had a gt20 and gt30 side by side and there is a nice difference in picture colours with the new ones skin tones looked absolutely spot on. It might be a setting but if you can get a g20 as cheap as then they are still worth it imho...

well the main problem seems to be the buzzing that some get

tbh the other problems one was the V model not G that was floating black
the other was wrong setting on the V+ box

so nothing to really worry about lol
sorry for false alarm

:grrrr: the more you read

:frown: the more you confuse yourself

:arrrr: in making a decision

:aggressive: I dont know !

John read your Pm and the thread you linked.

There are threads all over AVforums ditching every TV on the Market Pal.

There are also threads praising them.

every model of every tv has bad builds and good builds. you can get a good set and a bad set that's why its important to buy from a good retailer that will replace or refund if you have any concerns

Personally I wouldn't buy from Pixmania. I always buy from a shop that if I have any problems I can walk into a shop and confront them and its usually John lewis or someone similar.

it may cost me a few extra quid but you get a 5 year warranty, piece of mind should anything go wrong.

You have doubts about the TV its obvious from reading that thread. Like I said I aint seen any of the problems apart from buzzing.

My Advice is don't buy from Pixmania. if you can get from a high street shop where you get a 5 yr warranty and you can walk in if you have problems to get a refund or replacement, then buy it.

the only doubts I have Shaun is what Ive read mate

Ive also read all the good posts too :)

but the bad points stick out in ya head, you start thinking (or I know) Ill get the set thats got the problems lol

Pixmania is the cheapest by far, others are at least £100 dearer and the ones Ive seen locally are ex display and still £900

costco had 2 in today and they was £960

I do appreciate your comments and advice :)

I have never had an issue with Pixmania delivery can be a bit slow some time but other times fast... goods always well packaged etc...
