i need help please i have a ford focus 1.8tdci 2007 and keep getting my engine light on i have bought a cheap car reader and it comes up with fault code p0490 something about egr to high i have had a look for my egr valve and cannot find it anywhere can anyone help please

Get some wynns egr cleaner on it and blast it all out afterwards with a good run. Is it all black and sooty what you can see in the manifold?.

yes i can see a lot of black stuff blocking half of my the pipe but being cautious on how to get it out any ideas mate

Watch these guys it will give you an idea what to do. This is a TDDI model but the same principle applies. Wear gloves its a very messy job and watch the floor it will get everywhere.
