I did have it enabled but then had to remove the commands (#) as it was not working.

might give it another go later,

is there any tutorial for using oscam only?

There's a few on here mate but once CCcam protocol is enabled you then add your clients into oscam.user using the details from the corresponding sealions

some of the threads talk about having an N line in CCCam config file, is this actual cccam file or a notepad file created speacifically for the internal connection for the server to talk to oscam?

The nline connects Oscam and CCcam and would reside in an actual CCcam.cfg but is only necessary if using Oscam and CCcam together
