press the standy by and up arrow buttons together, if you are still having problems maybe try another version of IFA

plus make sure firewall antivirus is off

firefox1965 thanks that the thing i was after

cryptyk no there all off m8 can flash just this box thats playing up.

Nope no go tryed old IFA as well still wont flash

I recon this ones stuffed he did have a power cut just before it locked up
im wondering if there was a power serge as well

if had locked up ones before and manges to flash but this one aint having any of it
anyone got anything to try before i tell him too strip it for parts.

Wot image is on it at the mo cant you ftp to it

it has commando image on it already that was fine and current i put on for him few weeks ago

he had a power cut when power came back on it wont boot up wont even start loading image

acting like d box with a screwed up flash ie you should be able to flash with IFA and serial lead. I have had similar locked box's before

you can ftp in to because it not even starting to load image it stuck on bootloader

Av had all this a few times you sound as if you have as well m8 Only wat is to IFA it and keep switching on and off at the wall till it says Flashing Good luck They all come round in the end

If you're using a laptop with a wireless network connection, make sure it's disabled or IFA won't work. Same probably goes for a desktop with a wireless usb adapter.

Make sure windows XP firewall is disabled too.

Make sure your network adapter is set to 10BaseT Half Duplex and not Full Duplex or Auto.

Devilfish no m8
can flash fine from this pc got more than one box here

its a case one box . simular to when they lock up when you screw up flashing them

and can only be flashed then with both eathnet and seril cable and with IFA

but this one dident screw up during a flash it was running fine p[ower cut then same thing.

You obvioulsy know what you're doing and have tried most avenues!

If it's a Sagem, try disconnecting the main board from the power supply board and leave it for a good few hours.

The flash chips may have taken a knock but I can't see it. MGB would be better to ask, I'm sure he'll see this and add his comments. ;)

yea it does seem odd I know he did not play around with he aint got a pc.

just tried another version of IFA still no go

no it not a sargem it a 2 chip nokia

what you get when you get on L:CD when you power up is beta research

and the bar/ block things jams at 4 blocks instead on going on to load image.

only time iv seen this is when you mess a flash up but a flash it with IFA and serial and a few front panel button press sorts it.

but he was just watching tell had a power cut when power came back on it was jammed like this

this one seems to be stuffed me thinks.

just one of them ones that bug you that you cant sort it.

I hate haveing to give in and bin it lol

ps iv even had a poke around and jigel of chip just to make shaw there all seated ok.

WATCHDOG RESET after the bogomips line is not so good.
It looks like something is wrong with the hardware.
Maybe something in the power supply section was fried during the power cut.

mgb that sounds about right

i got the cuircuts diagras for the nokia somewhere
so may have a a play with power suplly section. and see if ican find anything.
