no transponders found dm500s

i have done many dbox',s dreambox 500 and dm600 for cable.


Now the problem starts

i have a dm500s, 60cm raven fixed dish with quad lnb

i have tried gemini 4.70 and dk1.1

when i use sat find the top box is around 60, the middle is about 90 and the bottom is 0

when i try a transponder scan on astra 28.2 e i get no transponders found.

i installed the dish myself pointed it in the same direction as everyone else in the street i have moved it up down left right turned the lnb round but nothing

any help is appreciated

do you have access to a sky receiver? You could connect that till the signal enables channels to come on tv screen

You might not be on the bird, same direction as everyone else is no good... You have be on the correct sat....have you even tried a compass

not tried a compas.

i have got a satelite finder which doesnt seem to be doing its job.

it says in the manual set the finder to 5 then adjust dish untill it goes to 10 then repeat until it wont go to 10.

when doing this the satelite finder goes to 5 ok but doesnt budge when moving the dish.

do you think it could be the lnb at fault
