new hard drive and still crap recording

@bainsy Are you using the revised flexmenu backup which included an option to backup satellite files or are using the mrdudes original backup?

its the one that was in downloads it backs up keys I know that so not sure if its the new or old one but it works for what I need

This is the old 'backup' I always keep the tarball for this on my DM600 hard drive so it is installed as standard with everything else. Mr dudes last image had a new backup with option for satellite which i was trying to untangle from the image and create a tarball.

I have all the folders but any info on how to make a tarball would be cool
