so what exactly is etlivestrem?

i've got dm800se with the openpli image,
i just kept gettin the green screen with the bbci plugin and channel1 plugin,
but i simply installed that etlivestream then installed bbciplayer and 1channel plugin and both are working,
goes forward and back very quickly and loads up almost instantly,
i tried both the sd and hd videos on the bbciplayer plugin, no problems,
but the best thing is that i finally got 1channel to work, really chuffed with that lol

Top work :Biggrin2: Tested on DM800SE with DBUK 2.1.2 Image, runs fine with both SD and HD streams. Havent watched a complete show yet but no freezes or crashes so far.

EDIT: Spoke to soon maybe, after a bit more playing green screened and rebooted once, sometimes a bit slow and sits there with a spinner for a while. Some streams have to be stopped and restarted to get them to play.

ahh I just innstalled plugin again and it says cannot install
cannot satisfy the following dependences = gst-plugin-rtmp

maybe its DBUK image ?

rat, unpack this folder, then the folder within it, FTP to the root of your receiver, then install the et live ipk again via telnet, i just did, restarted the receiver, and its now working, using the DW DM800 image

I have this working all fine on my vu duo clone running DreamboxUK_v2.1.1a_VUDUO i installed the following (i did get it off another forum though) but i guess they are all the same files floating about.

Path for ftp usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extensions...

1. bbciplayer_1.1_all.ipk
2. Then i ftp the updated folder BBC iplayer(3) with the 3 files _init_, plugin.png, python.py replacing the files created by point 1
3. FTP folder rteplayer
4. Downloaded et-livestream via plugin menu (this does not show in my plugins though)

Just a quick question in the plugins menu is the bbc iplayer icon (plugin.png) showing for everyone? I saw the path in plugin.py icon="./plugin.png" i compared this to other plugins and removed the ./ restarted box then the plugin would not work. I am surprised this broke the plugin? Does this mean that the path is referred to in another file hence why it broke? If anybody could point me in the right direction i would appreciate it.

hey peeps i had to reflash my dm800se with openpli,
but everytime i try to manually install the above etlivestream ipk,
it just doesnt seem to install,
i've flashed the box a couple of times and i had it working before,
i was wondering anyone got the folders version of the ipk so i can manually install them via ftp,
if that makes sense? lol

if anyone could help i'd appreciate it, thanks!

hey peeps, i managed to unpack the ipk which was straight forward and easy,
i sent the files/folders over via ftp,
it shows up under extensions however,
i still dont think its installed properly because im getting green screens with bbciplayer plugin and with 1channel plugin too,
i tried to play a flv file off usb and that also didnt work,
but previously had it all working, any ideas?

im a bit baffled to be quiet honest

i thought i'd try to manually install the et livestream ipk again,
and it actualy finally installed, so i've got bbciplayer plugin and channel1 plugin back up,
i also tried a flv file on usb and i can confirm it works,
so its all working ok now

im still baffled as to why it didnt install in the first place, i done the exact same thing as before

You can choose but just wont play,(same with the itvplayer to) i have tried installing the
enigmaplugin-extensions-et-livestream_1.r0_mipsel
but get the error in the piccie attached looks like its missing some files
also put the libgstrtmp.so in user/lib and in user/lib/gstreamer-0.10
but still get the same error when trying to install the et-livestrem plugin

I have tried all 3 releases
looks like the image is missing some files so it can't install et-livestrem (see piccie in my previous post)

put these into tmp folder m8, and install them all, then install the et-livestream again, restart the receiver, and try again please

I got those errors about dependencies, I ended up removing what I could find inc et-livestream installed V2 and it worked (SE) I dont know if there are still bits left on the box what I missed or what ? but it just works

I just grabbed Etlivestream from the plugins panel on pli and iplayer worked after that if that's any help to anyone?

hmmm, so on some images, the players are reliant on et-livestream, then on some images, et-livestream is reliant on up to 4 other packages, and on your BH image, each one of those 4 packages is reliant on quite a large number of other packages as well

this iPlayer script was written on a receiver running an OpenPLi 3.0 based beta image, but with NOTHING extra added (like et-livestream etc) so this may explain why it works a lot better on PLi based images. Ive not used blackhole images for years, but, looking at all the dependancies it states it uses, it may be something within the image itself that needs working on, unless they have some form of gstreamer package compiled specifically for the BH images
