I basically need a new pc, is it better to get this and upgrade the graphics card or should i go elsewhere cause it will be better/cheaper ?

id say this is a good system and to upgrade the graphics card.

Depends on case size and power supply for graphics card upgrade I suppose.

possibly depends on what usage you will need it for if it's for games often a good dual core can outperform a quad core.

But allot of these medions that have been around for this price have been quad core deals in the past. Seems strange they have gone to dual core this time.
 
The Q6600 is still retails over £150 (don't know wholesale price), the E7400 is an interesting trade off at around £100 (again, retail).

If anyone wants I can spec out something similar in Intel and AMD flavours?
