I think you should forget about the Cisco configs etc, its great learning but only really applicable to around 10% of network engineers.

Yes, but begin with the basics. Then work the way up over a number of threads.
It was something I done on here many moons ago (bout 10 years ago)

I would suggest a new thread for each topic.

But as I say start at the basics.

Topology, network types etc. I would include 10base2/5 before moving onto T.
Then onto TCP/IP

Thanks MH,that is exactly where I am at.Start at what maybe seems so fundamental to some.
If I can start at the very bottom,then I should be able to follow and more importantly make sense of it all.
